One of my all-time favorite set visit experiences was Guillermo del Toro walking us around the main practical house set from "Crimson Peak" on a Toronto soundstage for two hours. He had stories about every single nook and cranny in that house, even the elements that would never be visible on-screen.

The sad part was it took all kinds of character attacks to get 2 dems to vote against a watergate minion and a judge who opposed the civil rights act and didn’t think women were a protected class.
So by that measure dems get to hold a Garland grudge for 400 years or so
He writes in the middle of an era that could easily be characterized as a new Red Scare given how shabbily democrats are treated by the Senate.
One would think that his being a watergate flunky would have destroyed his name but he got a waiver apparently
