Great agenda. But these policies, while necessary for Democrats to support, are not the reason “white working class” people left the party. Democrats haven’t won a majority of white votes (with 1 exception in 1965) since 1952. These white voters are unconcerned with an agenda for working people.

There are individual reports that come up. But the identification of racism as the lingua franca of the Trump administration is too rare. Even the story referred to here doesn’t connect the job losses as specifically racially motivated and related to everything the Trump administration does.
