A pregnant person's body does everything for a fetus that a parent does for a child. Yet you can't claim a fetus as a dependent. Want to guess why? Same reason burial insurance won't cover a stillborn. Not a person for government or insurance purposes. Maybe share your biological facts with them?
Breathing is life. Don't believe me? Stop, see what happens. I've gone into a hospital expecting a normal delivery and come out still not being a parent. I also learned that burial insurance won't cover a stillborn because it was never alive. So yeah, for me, life will always begin at first breath.
I will never agree with your take. If the number of times I've been pregnant vs. the number of children I have has taught me anything, it's that life begins at first breath. Before that, it's just a possibility.
Scale is (mostly) established. The intent behind abortion, is to end a pregnancy. The reason a person intends to end their pregnancy, well that is none of my damn business.
I know how many abortions are performed yearly in the U.S. I will just never care more about a possible life than an actual one. Never.
No, it most definitely does not mean "little human" in Latin. Also, since neither an embryo nor a fetus is a child, gun violence does kill more children daily than abortions do. I'm not projecting outrage. I am outraged.
