As a robot weasel(taur) I am not designed for elite assassinations but neither am I a disposable item of serial production. I can't be backed up, don't download updates from the cloud, -that is fundamentally not a thing- physical damage is painful and concerning and malfunctions are fatal!

On some topics it's about selecting who you would rather be arguing with. What gets me is that petitions in such situation are childish and vacuous. Who are they petitioning? The Point is that there's no king there to petition. Elections, direct action, that's all. This is about power.

It annoys me to see calls for signing petitions for the purpose of stopping or halting legislation passed by a majority Republican legislature against the unanimous opposition of non-Republican officeholders. That is what voting in the actual election, or direct action, etc, is for.

I used to subscribe to the Hrauniad but starting 3-4 years ago they had such a series of garbage columnists and articles - things that were based around basic arithmetic errors, fundamental mote-and-beam mistakes that I just couldn't anymore.
The only places many, maybe most USAians are ever on public property today are on the highway in a private vehicle or in an airport, which involves an invasive and stupid inspection by an unaccountable government agency. Both involve money to be there. I think about this from time to time.

I get that it's hard to plan on there being a next year or a next month at all, or what the meaning of it would be. I'm there myself in a lot of ways but I guess, the way I think about it *activity* is the only relief from those feelings, at least in the moment.
