Fast forward to this morning. I take out the cake from the fridge, and the top is... swimming. The damn thing didn't settle at all. Not enough gelatine.
It was late, so I decided to wait until the next day (i.e. today) for the mass to settle completely.
Late in day 2, I've decided to add gelating to the mix. About 5 grams of gelatin, mixed with warm milk, set aside to cool and then poured into the mix. A few hours later, the mix became viscous enough, that my mum recommended pouring the mass over the cake.
Then, I've tried heating and cooling it, hoping it would help. It didn't.
So first, I tried blending the mixture. No good. The blender just separated the butter and budy艅.
The recipe said to add the budy艅 one spoonful at a time and mix it with whipped butter well before adding the nest one. So I just poured it all in while mixing. And it failed. The mixture was grainy, from all the butter being suspended in the budy艅 like milk with rice.
So I decided to wait until the next day. And that's where the problems started.
On day one, I've started making it too late, and took too long. So while things were going fine, I took until 19 to bake the two plates of dough used in this, and I still had to make the budy艅 filling.
This piece of shit has been the bane of my existence for the past 3 days. I hate it. I fucking hope it's good or else I'm just going to lose it.
