I was speaking to a person from Canada who I work with on consulting projects. Yesterday he told me not to bring any American projects to him. He told me until America gets a backbone he will not do anything in or with America. I was actually very surprised. He said it was the principle.
She is a reminder of the fact that human beings can be brilliant in one aspect of life and be horrible in other aspects. I always want to know what is the root cause of a person's hate. Was she attracted to someone only to find out at some point the person was Trans and therefore her hate was born?
Do folks remember the TV series Murphy Brown? Maybe it's time to reboot the series and take a page out of Law and Order with stories ripped from the headline. A hard hitting journalist asking tough questions about things happening in the world. The reporter could be Murphy's son.

Harvard needs to build a state of the art campus in another country. I'm pretty sure Harvard will have various countries laying out the welcome wagon for them. Offer the same exact diploma for both campuses. Go to a country with great weather and make sure freedom of research is available.

I watched the 1st season when it came out and back then I thought it was too scary. I kept saying, imagine if such a thing happened. It's like the TV show Scandal. It was so far fetched that it was like a fantasy show. Who knew?

I was talking to a business associate today about a project we are working on that involves a publicly traded company. He made the comment that things will right itself because the world isn't going to sit by while Trump destroys the world. Is that hope or ignorance?
Is it that the current administration believes that the people protesting didn't vote for Trump anyway so who cares about the protests? And, is the plan for things to get so bad that those who are rich can buy assets at fire sale prices when things crash?
A friend of mine from the Caribbean, a business man, who lives in the Caribbean, said to me before the election that he thought Trump will be a better president than Harris. Now the island he's from and where he lives is one of the islands being threatened by Trump. I'll call him tomorrow.

It's what the people really running the country want him out there talking about and doing to keep everyone distracted, while they do whatever they want behind the scenes.
Do folks realize that whoever is truly running the country is giving Trump busy work (executive orders, chair of the Kennedy Center, renaming bodies of water) and is the equivalent of giving a child toys and telling them to go play in the corner?
I am so sad that I now have to boycott the Kennedy Center. I loved attending shows there.

What's funny is that they think Diversity is just about race, sexual orientation and gender. It includes those 3 categories but it includes age, religion, regionality, education and host of other areas. A 65 year old white man, from Alabama, with a HS education is a DEI hire if in the North East.

Here's the problem. The World leaders are so desperate to be on the good side of Trump that in communication with him, if they need to reference that body of water, they will refer to it as the Gulf of America.
I find it ironic that Trump wants Canada and Greenland to become US territories or states when those citizens would most likely vote Democrat. And the immigrants he wants deported, if they became citizens, would vote Republican.
It means her father also had a Green Card and decided he was not going to renounce the citizenship of his birth. Many immigrants who are here don't necessarily want to become US citizens. As long as they can work legally and travel to their native land to see family, they're good.

I, too, was questioning some of these folks performing. But the bottom line is, we don't know anyone's financial situation and if Trump's people were offering 7 figure payments, they have to do what they have to do. Some of these entertainers have severe debt.

It's easy to say that. But when people in maybe their 50s or 60s have families, maybe children in college, mortgages, health insurance, papers closing left and right, some maybe paying alimony and child support, resigning on principle may be a luxury that some can't afford.
This reminds me of the Star Trek movie when they had to come back to earth to find whales. McCoy is in a hospital, walking by and sees a woman in agony. He asks what's wrong and she says she has to have kidney dialysis. McCoy says how barbaric and gives her a pill, which grows a new kidney.
The irony is that if Canada was a state they would have about 50 electorial votes and pretty sure they would have been sensible enough not to vote for Trump. A reporter should point out to him If Canada was a state he wouldn't be President.
