I would build a personal roller rink with a giant disco ball, colored lights, neon squiggle carpet, and a DJ booth with (1) every song you could ever want to skate to and (2) a microphone to announce couples’ skate and the Hokey Pokey.

I know it’s my own damn fault for not exercising enough (I am going to change that, I swear to God) but I hate how true it is that in your 20s your body is made out of rubber and in your 40s it is made out of pain.

That good omen did not apply to my back, which hurts like hell after some admittedly unwise decisions yesterday. I still have lots of lifting and carrying to do, and yes I am taking it very personally (and slowly).

I’m finishing up cleaning out my mom’s house before her estate sale (which, if you’ve never had to do it before, is even more exhausting than you think it is) and I’m taking the $44 I just found in an old purse of mine as a good omen, knock on wood.
