This could be combated if people like Starmer pushed back on far-right talking points whilst still embracing the flags. Show that it can mean more than just racism. But they don't. So now we're in a position where all I see when I look at the flag of the country I live in is bigotry and cowardice.
This all means that people who are aware of this but actually want to show a bit of national pride during sporting events or what have you, are gonna be less likely to do so for fear of coming across like a flag shagger.
Starmer knows this, he's not an idiot (he was just born without a soul or spine), he is appeasing the far-right from whom this flag nonsense comes from. It will not work because nobody wants Keir Starmer. He is a wildly unappealing person. But it does normalise the far-right position.
I think it's interesting how so many people are pretending like UK residents caring this much about our flag is normal. It's not. We used to look at how the US was about its flag and think it was positively unhinged.

Although the most extreme one was the Dark Millennium Online video, since the original version of that script predated Codex Compliant as a series. Granted, not much of the original remained since it was kinda bad. Mostly just kept the overall structure and framing. youtu.be/1fihqoR2a9w
This system of always having half a dozen scripts with a small chunk done of them means that I've got half a dozen jumping off points to continue writing. Which is useful when I've got writer's block. And sometimes that means parts of scripts are pretty old by the time we actually make them.
I wasn't working on it the whole time or anything, far from it, but sometimes I'll have an idea of how to talk about something and will write that down months, or even sometimes years, before we ever get around to making it into a full video. With this one it was most the intro segment.
As I watch the new CC render, I thought you might find it interesting to know how long some of these videos take to come together. Some are entirely written and made in couple of weeks, sure, but I started the script for this one in February of 2024.
It's a bunch of stuff people are putting together, he's not been seen for days, he's had random bruises on the back of his hand when he was seen before, he was talking about wanting to get into heaven out of nowhere. That kind of thing. Seems like he's pretty ill at the very least.
Every time you make a little face or monster out of a blob of blu-tac that is a joyous celebration of your humanity. That you possess the desire to create, and that that desire often goes to 'cute little thing' is something to be treasured.
One of the things that gives me hope for humanity is that somewhere, deep down inside every human all across time, is the desire to make funny little guys. Legitimately, that is not the behavior of a species that can only produce misery.

Regarding point a), if you see a really big shark and it doesn't have its mouth wide open, the easiest way to tell it's just a basking shark is they look like silly goobers.
There are a lot of uncomplicated reasons why there's no way megalodons are still alive, but even ignoring that, I think it says a lot about the information space we live in that something obviously fake with wonky cgi from a 2013 TV show is shown as evidence for anything.

Looks like they've finally realised that some people might want an actual sequel to DoW1 the RTS rather than the other genres the other sequels dabbled in. I mean, I don't hate DoW2 or anything, but it's not a game I go back to as much as DoW1, y'know?

One of the main themes of these comments is writing their own fanfiction where I think things I demonstrably don't in reality. The most recent one thought I'd be so mad if the battlecry was made cannon I'd make another 24 minute video. The fact I don't ever make videos like that is inconsequential.
It's pretty funny how, about once a week, I get a fairly long comment on the Lamenter's battlecry video about how I'm taking it all way too seriously. The irony of taking the time to write several paragraphs about how annoyed the video made them and that I should shut up is seemingly lost on them.

You shouldn't watch these AI channels not just because they're an insult to the work people put into proper ones, but because you deserve better than AI slop. It's garbage that gives you nothing. The art equivalent of eating paper. Sure you can do it but why would you when actual food is available?
I find these AI channels utterly abhorrent. There are plenty of lore channels out there like Oculus, 40k Theories etc. who put in the time and effort to make something with a human touch. Interpreting the setting rather than just regurgitating whatever text gets scraped from the fan wikis.
For context: this channel puts out hour long lore videos every couple of days with using an AI David Attenborough voice. To claim they are only using a bit of AI is absurd, and to knowingly use the content ID system whilst doing so is scummy as fuck.

You can report this channel on the channels page, click on 'More' on the description then at the bottom click 'Report Use', do that twice then 'Spam and Scams', skip picking any videos then write that they're falsely reporting copyright on behalf of Games Workshop against other channels.

Huh... the 2 Eldar Titans have disappeared from the Warhammer site. Pretty recently too since I had to look them up a couple of weeks ago. Seems like they're gone for good. I can't say I was ever likely to buy one, but I did always like them so it's a little sad to see them go.

I think sometimes it's useful to really think about what these people say. Me verifying my age on any website has, in no way shape or form, made any child safe. There is simply no cause and effect there whatsoever. All that has happened is I have been inconvenienced, and my privacy put at risk.

Look, I never went to university, I bailed on computer programming to do artsy stuff and now talk about toy soldiers for a living. And if I can tell they don't know what they're talking about, the fact that they're not public laughing stocks is embarrassing to the entire species.
Whenever you see things like this you are left with the knowledge that these people are either lying to all our faces for money and power, or so blithering foolish that they literally cannot tell science fiction apart from actual science. Probably some combination of both.
What I like about this is that he's not just saying 'we could maybe build a Dyson Sphere', a thing that's already so far beyond our current capabilities that it's basically only achievable by magic, but we should build one to encompass the entire solar system, which is orders of magnitude worse.

I suppose the lesson here is that when I obsess over things like a miniature looking a little rough when blown up to many times its original size for a video, I should not worry since a not-insignificant amount of the audience are only seeing it on a tiny screen where it's about its original size.
To me, YouTube is something I watch whilst at the PC, or possibly even on the TV (which our stats suggest is a genuinely out of the ordinary thing to do). And I get that I'm the weird one here... but I don't make that stuff to be watched on tiny screens, so that most people do feels odd.
