Did they get rid of that stupid condo/hotel they had built in the 90s? It was sickening to see construction there.

Well, depending on how allergic you are (if you're not anaphylactic), you could consider fostering (or doing a trial adoption) and use Purina Live Clear food to see how it goes (if the rescue allows it). I have allergic adopters who use this food and it has helped their allergies.
Know how your feel. Lost three in 2024. My condolences. It gets better, but definitely not fast enough and you will always miss them. But better a week too soon than a day to late and giving them the comfort of having you there and letting them go on a good day is a gift not every cat gets.

If the worm was small, white and hanging around his bum, it’s not roundworm. It’s a tapeworm segment and that requires a medication specific to tapeworm. Roundworms are long and skinny and are typically vomited or pooped out, not usually hanging around bums. Check with your vet.

Adopt our amazing Hygge (Hue-ga)! He would feed himself if he could. He brings bags to his foster parents for them to dispense his favorite treats. Some dogs don't even do that. He loves zooming around, cuddling and doing nighttime coiffures. He HATES cats and wants to to be king. #cats #rescue

If everything you've tried doesn't work, make sure to talk to your vet about Prozac (fluoxetine) for your cat. SSRIs work just as well in cats as they do in humans. The chemical that makes us, and cats, feel happy is allowed to circulate in the brain longer to make them feel calm. It works for this!
The crystals often form on dry diets because cats don't get enough water for proper irrigation. If it's an infection of some kind, antibiotics will fix it. Hope your house panther feels better soon!
Most males don't get UTIs. They are more likely to have cystitis either from struvite crystals or stress. If it's crystals, they will need to be dissolved with a special diet and then they can be prevented just by providing an all-canned-food diet and adding a bit of water.
The condition is likely pyometra and is a direct result of not being spayed. Another reason why getting your cat spayed early is important. Check into pet credit cards usually available through clinics. Can provide you with the ability to make payments.
I can’t begin to tell you how many cats with litterbox issues Prozac has saved. Yet, many vets don’t even recommend SSRIs because of some kind of stigma. They are inexpensive, safe and usually temporary. Prozac saves cats’ lives. Ironic it was a therapist that killed their cat.
Aww, sweetie. Looks like a senior. Not sure if you know why your cat has stopped grooming, but hyperthyroidism is common in older cats and can contribute to an unkempt appearance (oily, matted). A simple blood test can detect it, or other things that might be going on.
Aww, my condolences. My 19 year old passed last year, so I know how hard it is. Thank you for giving her an amazing 20 years.

CANADIAN PRODUCT? How Canadian is your cat food and litter? We have food and litter that is tagged “Made in Canada”with local ingredients and are Canadian-owned and produced. We also have “Made in Canada” food and litter owned by US corps. Research, and maybe take a good, better, best approach.
