I once turned up at 8am for a training session, and was told "shit went sideways with the weather" can you do nightshift tonight. I was not prepped to do nightshift, but I did it, and did it well, with about 30 min of sleep during the day.
No, I would sleep for 3-4 hours a night and that was it. Use to bug Mrs Wolfcat a lot, she would go to sleep and I would get up and do stuff on the computer, because brain busy, must do stuff.
One time I did a 5 day night shit rotation, came home, missed my sleeping window and just kept going for another day till I reset. I would always tell my staff, I am not your model of what to do, I am me, you are not.
It was for me back then, the drug took me to 8 hours a night. I would always have to have information as a distraction to sleep. When I get insomnia attacks, I will still sleep 3 hours and then do a full day.
I used to sleep 3 to 4 hours a night until I was nearly 30 and went on Roaccutane, which screwed up my lifelong sleep habits. I still get bouts of insomnia and can go from sleep to a 24 hour work day if needed. Do not recommend this as a lifestyle however.
