Yes, and I never thought I would feel this way. We were the “United States”, we were all in it together, but that is no longer the case. Blue states should be able to keep the funds they generate to provide services to their citizens and red states can live as they choose, poor and uneducated.
They should actually increase their subsidies, including direct investment in poor underfunded neighborhoods in red states. Money given directly to poor people, especially mothers, for them to use however they decide, is apparently the most efficient way to alleviate poverty. UBI now! Or darn soon!
