I’ve studied US drone strikes, I wrote a book called “Drones and Terrorism,” and this Caribbean strike is different. Lethal fire at a non-threatening target in a non-hostile environment on purpose when other means, such as capture, were easily doable, and without even attempting a legal rationale.

Folks in my church are pretty cool, but sometimes I'm worried I'll be accused of being too political when I'm just preaching the lectionary texts. I think the real lesson is that you shouldn't run your political platform in a way that all the Gospel texts on greed seem like a personal call-out.
