I would be happy if I never heard the name Graham Linehan again, but I do feel the need to comment, because the nature of a lot of the abuse trans people receive is straight up sexual harassment, but is not recognized as such because the victim is trans. What Glinner is doing is sexual harassment.

I think a thing that's really hard for kids to wrap their heads around is that the JA incarceration was perfectly legal then and now. The Supreme Court never overturned Korematsu's conviction, the US District Court did. His conviction still stands as Supreme Court precedent.

Yeah, worldcon is overwhelming at the best of times. It can be great, but you have to be in the right frame of mind for a firehose of sensory/social input. There are some good small, chill cons depending on where you are, though?

One nice side-effect of having not gone to Worldcon is I've circumvented the usual post-con anxiety crash where I'm convinced I'm the Most Annoyingly Awkward Stupid Person Alive And Everyone Hates Me. Also I'm not flat-broke, or at least, no more so than usual. I am sad I missed people, though.
