Oh no, absolutely. It’s got the best, most grounded story of the series, pretty much without exception. But because of its age and the aforementioned low budget, I’ve found it prudent to offer newcomers the guidance that it is okay to bounce off, even if I would prefer they love it as I do!

Yes. One caveat: OG Gundam (often referred to as 0079) very much shows its age. Give it a shot, but dont be afraid to look up a plot breakdown on youtube if you bounce off, though references in the sequels wont hit as hard if you go that rout. There’s also a 3-movie condensed version if you’d like.
