How good is a graph showing you how much you’re not spending? Which battery do you have?
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s wild how hard the power companies are working to make us pay a bill instead of storing the energy we put into the grid. I’m fully expecting to have to fit two more batteries over time.

The modern ALP are very very bad at institutional partisan politics. It is in their BEST interests to massively EXPAND open government through FOI and concrete it in, because they govern in a way that more harm will come to the Libs then themselves. Two days earlier someone wiped their car down my son's and left a note. What parallel universe is this?
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social)
A very nice Uber driver found my glasses and posted them back to me, what a nice fellow. The lady who bumped our car and left a note sent me the money for the fix and just to make sure, she bought the house around the corner. That's the kind of neighbour you want. Not a bad day all round.

Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
Nearly completely stuffed that up by missing the fact that the E30 is forty and not 25 and had missed that only the laptop scale was 25 years for reasons that aren't immediately obvious. For reference, the 25 year old 3er is the still lovely E46.
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social)
I mean, yes, but wouldn’t it be more accurate to have a 3 Series of today (yes, a much larger car than the E30) but also I don’t remember owning a laptop that big in 2000.

Old mate says he’s making flying affordable for the common man again with this admittedly quite lovely little helicopter. The price? Roughly $2m before taxes and options. Okay mate. I think we’re safe from general aviation suddenly becoming affordable again.
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social)
Amusingly, YouTube offered me a video about a new helicopter. In the video, the CEO of said helicopter company waxed on about the decline of general aviation and how when some Cessna came out, it was only 1.2 times the average wage and was therefore affordable. Nowadays, blah blah, skip to the end

The Bible. There are several references on what is prayer. Again, you don’t have to be a believer to understand how prayer is explained in both testaments
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
Yep. Horrific behaviour.
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
No, I meant if you regard the text as literature, there’s still narrative purpose and exposition. Prayer is not portrayed as universal ordering “in-universe” if you will.
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
Whether you believe or not is immaterial because a cursory understanding of the text demonstrates what prayer is and isn’t.
Peter Anderson (@zerogeewhiz.bsky.social) reply parent
The doctrine of prayer is not the universal ordering some people think or perceive it to be. The US evangelical right commends a heretical prayer doctrine in that it’s a. wrong and b. used to avoid the necessary action behind the request
