Tbf you don't strictly need ultra-rapid reuse for a very high launch cadence. You can achieve one launch a day with seven vehicles and a week turnaround, or with an inventory of 60 vehicles and two months turnaround, the upfront costs are just a lot higher in the second one

I know they used some metal tiles, maybe one of them partially ablated and the steel oxidised and deposited as a layer of rust? The colour would match that at least I just don't think it would have survived with that huge an area of tiles being stripped
I don't think it's tile loss. The triangular shape to me suggests something at the front-ventral part of the cylindrical section (perhaps one of the experimental tiles) shed something that deposited as a brown layer.
Even if they never figure out rapid ship reuse, with the demonstration of in-space engine relight and payload deployment (and if aiming to expend starship you could just have the whole nose open up as a giant clamshell) and booster reuse already proven they already have a semi-reusable SHLV
Flight 4 had way worse damage to the flaps, and they still managed to maintain aerodynamic control. The aerodynamics/controls part of the Starship design really seems rock solid.
I'd say at the same level as Falcon 9, since they have already demonstrated booster catch and reuse

It did, but that explosion was at the end and planned (hard to not have it explode after it falls over into the ocean after the soft splashdown)

Put a little silicone cap over the shelltooth for safety (probably has pretty sharp edges to be able to wedge into a living clam!)
