This is a really good time to make and support Little Free Libraries. We need to be in charge of our books and get them in the hands of those that need them! Make your own, or support the one in your neighborhood! Building mine, and will go purchase a copy of Freckleface for it!
Just start digging. They sort of fall apart, and then you can get to the screws.
Oh and change out those feet too. Amazing how much easier it is to work on when it doesn't walk all over the bench.

I did once use a vintage Tutti ( Barbie's very little sister) on Monster High and that worked. LoL.
Monster High was never made to fit Barbie. They are totally different. Five Below has some cute fashion doll stuff or try Ebay.

This one is more a hard vinyl body. I didn't notice chubby knees, so probably not. She is missing a couple of fingers unfortunately, but otherwise pretty good.
Quick pic of her. I just scrubbed her a bit and combed her hair. Didn't do much else, as I am not keeping her, but I was glad to learn a bit about them. It was interesting that more than one company made them. This one is by Brookglad
I just found one of these in a box of dolls. She was slightly before my time, so I didn't know who she was till I looked her up. She reminds of the faces on the Peanuts characters. I do think she is cute, but will be passing mine along to someone else via Etsy, as I am more a Barbie girl.

They do have fragile joints. I tend to be very careful with mine. Just a certain batch of years that have the bad hair. This girl was a favorite, so I took the time to re-root. haven't styled yet.

Early Singers are workhorses, and easy to repair and service on your own. Top handles are often only made to take the top off, NOT to carry them. Especially on the wooden tops. Never pick those up that way.
