1. I think it's difficult for people not in the US to appreciate how absolutely non-useful/condescending "use a train" is as advice. Where I live, the nearest passenger train station is 90 miles away, in Cincinnati. However, there is a bus from Dayton to that train station, a mere 43 miles from me.

*real* love is about caring for the other person's well being and happiness more than your own, romantic or not. 'True' love is a romanticized idealization of real love. First move is highly variable, and I have no rule for relationships. For brief encounters, I lean toward the woman making the
more interesting, like a bestie helping a well matched couple along despite her own feelings for one of them (because real love is about wanting the other person to be happy more than yourself). Also, needing to compete for affection would make me less attracted to someone. I'd move on instead. π§΅->
my fantasy elements include things like dragons, kitsune characters, elves & orcs, 3' tall bunny people, exotic magical creatures, and fast-paced high-magic battles of spell and blade. CGI is not up to the task. Standard, competitive love triangles? Meh, at best. Give me something π§΅->

Hmm. While I don't get explicit, I sometimes do a fast, high-level overview. In my 3-person relationship, one of the FMCs was in a mildly keyed-up state, so her spouses 'tormented' her with some denial play, making her watch. Then they made her beg. The aftermath left her happily π§΅->
I really love it when everyone is kicking ass together. :) Well, my wife has aspects of herself reflected in most of the female characters, but Kazue (one of the 2 FMCs) is the closest match overall. I write the story I want to read; I simply trust others will want to read it too. π§΅->
I have a loose outline, and a few key points that need to be hit. the rest is Discovery Writing. Deciding when characters first kiss is highly variable by pairings; so far my range is from the first day they meet to 10-years-later. My favorite romance trope is probably the battle couple; π§΅->
(whether read or written) never achieve the same impact of what I can create in my head, so I would rather avoid them in either form. Character are always first, stories come after, and romance is part of those stories. If I must prioritize them in a specific scene, it's the same order. π§΅->
