To be clear, im still working, its just a lot harder a commute. Im just frustrated and tired and need to have something more than just work to give me direction and purpose. I need it for myself and my family. I just need something good after this week of discouragement.

I agree. These were good for me in a unique way.
Right now, im pursuing a community chaplency. Its interfaith work at the margins of society. I think it's a good expression of my call. That's what all my fundraising has been for.
Henri Nouwen has some good thoughts on discernment. I'd recommend spending some time with his words.
That to say, discernment can lead you to unexpected places.
I discerned for a call to be a deacon. Ultimately, I was denied the process by the bishop because my life has too much stress (ok, but...). Still, that call is in me. Now, it is discerning how it should be expressed.
If you think there's something calling you intonation season of discernment, listen in prayer and pay attention to what people and events say. Discernment isn't just about church position. It's a posture for life and a pursuit of vocation. Ultimately, we discernment God at work wherever that is.

I'm not gonna say, "they're not Christian" because Christianity in the US has largely morphed into this shit. I will say it's not my kind of Christian, and I hate that I have to fight them for theological terms in addition to the minds of people.
Christian nationalism is a manifestation of the beast from Revelation. It needs to be actively resisted, witnessed against, and combated. It is a danger to all of us.
As someone who still identifies as Christian (mostly) this kind of shit enrages me. It's such a danger to children's physical and psychological safety, and it gets passed as "normal" Christian practice. It's not normal! It's fucked up.
