Elon Musk, one of the world’s most powerful and richest men is posting far right ideology. Remigration is commonly seen as a far right concept of ethnic cleansing. To deport migrants and their descendants to their place of racial ancestry. That would include me. Why are we not talking about this?

Let’s clear up some facts. There is no such thing as an “illegal immigrant”. The UK DOES NOT grant asylum visas overseas, except for very limited schemes (except large schemes for Ukraine and Hong Kong).Refugees can only claim for asylum when in the UK. So their fate can only be decided, once here.
Many will say we are not talking about the underlying anti Muslim hatred right now. We know some of the flag waving is by the far right,many asylum seekers are Muslim and of course most Gazans. Instead we hear a lot about “genuine concerns” or “illegals. Fear of talking about it may seem complicit.
Imagine the conversation among Taliban HQ. “Briton is offering to pay millions for us to accept the people running away from us”.

You’re relying on Musks AI which has been shown to be unreliable. But even here it clearly says that some of the figures are debated and the unemployment is actually referred to as inactive. Which is entirely different - students, carers, families. And socioeconomic explanations are important.
Where all these figures from? Extremism and terror is certainly an issue but not at these levels. Far right also on the rise. Prison rates largely due to young population/socio econ factors, unemployment for same reason and is more like 6-7%. A disproportionate number of Muslims live in poverty.
Is that including the doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, factory workers and families of soldiers who held a third of the line on the western front in WW1 so you’re able to enjoy your freedom? What do you tell your children about those people?

Lucy Connolly who tweeted about setting fire to hotels (later deleted) is being labelled a political prisoner by some. If I or a person of colour suggested setting fire to places where majority white people were staying or any people for that matter, would I or they be afforded such status?
Whilst it’s important we recognise the famine taking place in Gaza, we have to ask why? And as plans to occupy Gaza City are underway we must learn from the past. Many will ask what point is there in calling out alleged war crimes when it’s far too late? Britain, the US and others can save lives now

Think about the UK’s reputation abroad. Lack of safe routes for refugees, migrants unwelcome, calamity of Brexit, inaction in Palestine (bearing in mind Balfour Declaration) and pensioners being arrested. It’s so sad and the legacy of empire doesn’t help. (Criticism is highest form of patriotism)

The govt & those in opposition say we need to look at the “genuine concerns” of rioters attacking migrants and the police. Some of those politicians also called BLM protestors Taliban & demanded they be arrested. More recently some referred to anti Israel demonstrators as Hamas. Double standards?
The issue with racism whether on socials, in football or media is that it’s treated like ‘bad apple’ syndrome. Individuals are used as fair scapegoats if at all. Organisations and institutions are never penalised. Racists don’t act alone. They are emboldened by cultures and empowered by our silence.

Are we going to see any condemnation for the continuing use of “death to Arabs” across Israel? Recently chanted by Israelis on Jerusalem Day in Muslim neighbourhoods. The govt is accused of not doing enough to stop it. Do our govt and others condemn that? Or even bothered to look that way?

Over 170 journalists (some reports say over 200) have been killed in Gaza. The deadliest conflict in history for media workers. Normally in war, that would be considered a war crime or bad strategy at best. But the IDF don’t appear to fear condemnation around the world. Because there is very little.
