Oh cool!! Around the Bay is my goal for two years’ time. I’d love to do the 6k VOWSA option for that other swim y’all do next year (to hopefully get a qualifying time for AtB). My plan is to do a 10km lake swim around here next summer.
It’s so annoying!! Especially since I really only run three times a week, two 4ks & one 5k. One of my legs is an inch longer than the other though, and so… here we are.
I think I’m going to train for a marathon swim (10k) next summer, which might also solve my IT band problem bc I will be running, like, one time a week. 😅

Had such a bad allergy day yesterday that it triggered a migraine, but all the available online info said AQ was “fair” and pollen was nonexistent. I’ve seen an allergist & an ENT & never got a good answer about why this happens.

I mean it's a good question! My other issue with stuff like this is: 1) seed oils are actually fine; 2) to the extent to which there's evidence re: teflon or lead in water, etc., it's not a personal purchasing issue, it's a regulation issue.

Someone told me recently when I posted a pull-up reel that they could tell I’d been strength training because of my leg muscles & I was so annoyed (not at her) because I don’t strength train my legs really at all. But I have been training my not-visibly-muscly frickin arms
It annoys me that I’m going to have to start strength training my lower body to avoid injury from running, because I don’t enjoy strength training, and I only begrudgingly do upper body strength training because swimming is low-impact
