I did not buy new things but, the things I needed to buy (necessities) cost much more. Net effective is I spent almost as much money and received a lot less.

My grandson brought home a book in Spanish. A language he nor his family speak. He knew it was a different language and just wanted to hear it. Fortunately, his dad knew enough to be able to read it to him.
I agree with you on principle but- it's getting to a point where "they" are all armed and "we" aren't. I worry for us all.

I lived across the street from a school that had a quarter mile track on it. I would power walk that track lap after lap, sometimes in tears, until I was too worn out to be depressed. I eventually went the drug route and it worked for me. But those laps seem to really help some days.

I went to visit this tourist place a couple of weeks ago. At no cost to the taxpayers.
I'm in California, and I believe the local police need to go further than just not backing them up. They need to actively go there and stop these masked kidnappers- ask for ID and what their evidence is that a crime was committed. Don't let them drag people into their cars.
