Did last night. Felt pretty good tbh, considering I was forgetfully paying for the big bundle and basically rewatching one show I've been meaning to buy on physical media. No more excuses.

For those of you who may not know, Iowa very recently stripped civil rights away from trans folks. Like literally REMOVED it from their civil rights code.
There is only one possible ending to this story, and sports aren't the last chapter. I guarantee that if you haven't lost five decades of rights in two weeks, you have no idea what this feels like, so I'm begging you: protect trans kids right now with everything you've got.
As someone who calls my representatives far too often, I have never felt the hate more so than calling Senator Eric Schmitt's office and, when I can get through to a person, hearing a staffer metaphorically drop the phone in the trash can while I talk. The disdain is wild.

I get what you're saying. I think incumbency is a hard climb for someone with scandals and 20% approval (and dealing with Trump), personally. I agree that it's not in the bag but I'm hopeful his campaign won't let up.

I mean if this is the strategy, it's clearly not working for Dems popularity. Dems are polling very poorly with their own base. Going through this exposure therapy strategy of letting the fallout of GOP policies with no Dem push back is still long term harm and the Dems looking weak.
I remember attending one of my Dem House reps first tele town halls after this admin started. He stated that they had no legislative power (fair, to an extent) and that "the polls would help push their strategy after Trump's numbers tanked". Still waiting on that strategy.
