The cinematography, along with Tangerine Dream's special score, a wild cast mostly going for it, and a really interesting initial conceptual hook to the plot fully carried me through the disjointed / gap-filled (a times weirdly fun) mess of a plot. Really, really enjoyed it. And looked great in 4k.
Watched Michael Mann's "The Keep" (1983) for the first time. A supernatural / mystery horror, his most notable foray outside of his usual genres (aside from maybe Last of the Mohicans), is somewhat understandably maligned (due to being hacked up by the studio). But holy hell, it's got crazy vibez.
Madeline Kenney's new album "Kiss From The Balcony" is another stunner! Drifting at the edges of indie alternative vibes, with a richness, vibrance, & artful unpredictability. Give it a listen! Or better yet, buy it! (Next Bandcamp Friday is August 1st) madelinekenney.bandcamp.com/album/kiss-f...

Truly was rough.
Truly those were (mostly) really some of the worst penalty shots. With such little conviction / confidence. Kelly and Bronze's takes looked exceptional by comparison.
Holy hell, the Lionesses deserved that win after their comeback. But, they did nearly everything they could to try to lose that PK shootout. Iconic stuff from Hampton, Kelly, and Bronze. So many overall great individual & team performances over the course of the rest of the match, too. #WEURO2025
I'm aware this was intentionally trying to tell a diff story around Superman than we've ever seen before, but I was left wanting to see a bit more Lois and Clark.

It had been many years since I'd watched, but got to see this last month in 35mm at @princecharlescinema.com, and was blown away all over again. It's truly a miracle of a film.
