Yeah there are people who are in "the industry" just like every other field with all their jargon and quirks and you need them but they can also be a problem
Right it should always be "why are people here for THIS PROTEST" rather than "we are gathered here today to perform the ritual of protest"

5. Don't ask people to sing a song they've never heard in their lives unless they go to your church or synagogue 6. Have a specific next event planned (protest or meeting) and actively recruit people for that event, not just a generic "follow us on social media"
3. Have specific goals and demands; if you're saying "justice" or "overthrow capitalism" you might as well be extras in a generic bad TV show 4. Don't get bogged down in protest industry minutiae, if people are hearing about your permits or what have you it's a waste of time
Here are some things I would humbly suggest to protest organizers w the caveat that im just some asshole: 1. Figure out who your top speakers are and let them cook rather than have a dozen fumblers up there depressing everyone 2. Don't just talk at the crowd, get them engaged and loud

Willing and capable I should say. I'll probably expand on it tomorrow but parts of the kilmar rally today were a good example of "a parade of low energy and low quality speakers crushing the morale of the crowd" and I keep seeing this protest after protest
There is a lot of anger and motivation, there is an extreme lack of people and organizations willing to harness it if it means taking any risks at all
As a counterpoint, respectfully, I would submit that americans could do a lot more protesting if they wanted to, given that none of these things are new or necessarily unique to the US. The problem as I see it is a severe lack of organization and leadership
