He’s now selling the lake house his mother intended to be left to her grandchildren, to keep up with his bills. He was big extrovert, a sheriff’s deputy, and had people and their kids at the house all the time. We later found out there were loaded guns everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Just loose.
My ex’s parents divorced a few years ago. Mom got the house, because dad was a hoarder, and had over $500K in guns. It took a crane to get the gun safe in. I don’t know if she ever got it out. His hoard of junk became a bane to everyone. His own mother refused to take him or any of it in.
