Then I end up telling the DR. The pharmacy said put in a script for XYZ and he does. I don't think the patient should be the middle man, but its seems the only way it gets done right.
That's a good question. Each med is different to crush or sprinkle. I tell my dad DR. I need meds that can be crushed, Sprinkled or come in a liquid form. Then I verify with the pharmacy before I check out, cause they will not let you return it. I do find that the pharmacy knows more than the DR.
Take the capsules apart, sprinkle in Applesauce and enjoy. That's how we give the elderly and babies their meds. If its bitter use more and chase it down with a sweet shake, in fact just put it in the shake.😁
