The owner said she was looking to expand her stock of Scandinavian foodstuffs, which would be great. I’ll be back in Cooperstown later this month, so I’ll see if she was able to.
First up is Bluebird Haus, a Scandinavian-inspired home and kitchen goods store in Cooperstown, NY. It’s off the beaten path and not in the touristed part of town. I’ve bought Swedish-designed kitchen utensils and tableware there, plus linens. Also has a lot of cottagecore stuff in stock.
I’m starting a thread to highlight some of my favorite area businesses, although I’d have to remember to take more pictures of area businesses. I tend to just rush in and completely forget to snap a pic.

I really liked this and the first book in the series: The Kamigawa Food Detectives. All the mysteries revolve around food and not murder. I like these books more than the other slice-of-life Japanese books I’ve read recently.
Stores would almost completely eliminate shoplifting if security strip-searched every customer and employee when they exited the premises. If you object to my plan, you are pro-shoplifting!

There used to be a wonderful and eclectic five-and-dime store literally right next to the HOF that my Mom insisted on visiting whenever we went to Cooperstown.
While the main drag in Cooperstown has been baseball-centric for as long as I can remember, as recently as 10-15 years ago, there was more of a mix of non-tourist businesses.
If it’s not an attempt to frame DQ or its employers, I agree it’s likely a family custody issue. Grandpa buys kids a drugged-up ice cream treat right before dropping them off at the unfavored parent’s house and when the effects kick in, the parent is branded an unfit parent and loses custody.
She should first watch the prequel: The Fifth Element.
