I don't agree that Germany could've been stopped relatively easily, as evidenced by them steamrolling France and trapping the entire British army on a single beach. Added to that, it's likely the soviet Union would've been involved directly on Germany's side if attacked in Poland. It took 6 yrs 1/

I think it's equal tbh. Moscow helped Germany skirt restrictions on mars manufacturing in the build up to the war as well. I personally hold them jointly responsible as they both triggered the defence pact for Poland and the USSR invaded and occupied European territory at a similar rate.

I think they have massive manufacturing set up now. Iran sold them originally and helped set up manufacturing for them. Ukraine obviously needs to hit those factories if it can locate them. China has also been supplying parts for the drones recently.

The US and UK didn't break anything in the Budapest memo and I'd advise people to read it. Their obligation was not to invade or coerce Ukraine and if someone else invaded they had a duty to raise it in the UN. Only Russia broke the Budapest memo. It was a bad deal from day 1.
