Looks like BES is another body captured by the anti-trans lobby. It's likely that a properly done study would show c. 90% of trans people dumping Labour seeing as the party has turned against them.

I saw Mothin not answer whether a trans woman is a woman and it was a bit rubbish. He was strong on the point that oppressing trans people allows the oppression of all though, which suggests he doesn't understand trans people but would defend them because of that wider picture.

Given how the left includes disproportionate numbers of trans people and their allies, this party has already lost a lot of its potential base. It's clearly just a vanity project by a handful of people who aren't good at working with others.

I want us to have one party in England where trans people can be safe - that is how bad it is right now. That's one reason why I voted for Zack and why, for other posts, I voted for trans people or, failing that, sincere allies.
It's bad also that trans people not only get this treatment but also know that people in power want them dead and are working on it. It's not just unpleasant, it's very scary.

Those are compelling reasons. I joined to take part in the internal elections and followed guidance from LGBTIQA+ Greens to make sure that the trans candidates or those most supportive of trans people got at least one vote. Hope Zack wins because he's trans-friendly and a leader with vision.

This cis het Dad went to #transpridelondon yesterday and met a load of lovely people. Some were trans and some were allies and some non-binary people didn't present as obviously trans, and I realised that I don't need to quiz them about what 'box' they fit. What mattered was that they're lovely.

This seems extraordinary. How could the Lib Dems support an amendment aimed at harming vulnerable people? You have done a great job in many ways, particularly exposing the EHRC's view that human rights don't apply to trans people, and are a great loss in the role.
