Weird, putting tariffs on construction materials and throwing day laborers in concentration camps should have solved the supply problem by now

you can have abundant free parking everywhere, or you can have a livable environment. you cannot have both; it is mathematically impossible. www.thejakartapost.com/news/2020/01...

Jakarta is a concrete jungle with almost 90 percent of its area built over, leaving only 10 percent for green space, a leading cause of flooding in the capital. While the blame is often put on skyscrapers and business districts, residential areas are not entirely free from the problem. As a result of limited space and soaring land prices in Jakarta, many residents try to make the most of their houses by turning their small gardens into a roofed parking space, terrace or an additional room. While it provides an affordable way for people to expand their home, concreting over green space is bad for the environment. It prevents rainfall from being absorbed and thus increases the chance of water runoff during the rainy season.

Housing being the theory of everything is so spot on, when many of my friends who want families, want to start that business, want to make art, want to get a pet, but they can't because they're worried about rent or where or how they'd live because finding housing is that difficult.
