That’s not a huge difference, imo. I was 19 and my husband was 24 when we met. We’ve been together for 43 years.
As a Grade one teacher , much of my day, every day, was spent teaching anger management, general social skills, media literacy, you name it, sometimes to the detriment of academics because problems came up on a daily basis, and a lot of kids were not learning these lessons at home.

Being accompanied by people who live there and know the country well makes all the difference for sure. It really is a gorgeous, diverse country. I actually felt safer there than I would in the US, even before the last election.

Wow 🤯 There’s definitely less of that here, but still too much imo. Just the socialization aspect, as you mention, is huge, not to mention the lack of proper training.
I’m a retired teacher, and I find homeschooling bizarre, to say the least . Do they perform their own medical care too? Basically bible thumpers, I guess. But at least I didn’t have to deal with those cuckoos every day.

The local farms where I live charge even more than the supermarkets. Obviously a much better product, however. I buy from them and just eat a lot less beef than I used to. An occasional treat, basically.

Late May is summer here though! 😉 I need heat from May - Sept to make up for the rest of the year! 😭 My in-laws in Colombia live in the mountains. Consistently 25-26 degrees in daytime and 15 at night year-round. No bugs because of altitude. Rain only at night. It is glorious! 🌺🌴☀️
All I know is that I was at my sister’s in late May and we froze for 2 weeks. 🥶 It was 10 degrees warmer here at the time. Maybe we were just unlucky.
