As you know, we Americans are notoriously fond of ice in drinks. Im OK with ice in cheap beer. I put ice in plonk. Not sure it's so much cost-shaving here (ice costs money too, which is why it's so hard to get some places) as just a weird thing catching on.

There was a great comic book place in Hyannis. I used to spend a lot of time (and money) in there. There's also a place called The Big Chicken Barn in Ellsworth Maine that has a floor dedicated to old periodicals...including a gigantic selection of comic books. Dropped a lot of moolah in there too.

I liked Infinity and Endgame, but the GotG movies are my favorites by far. GotG 3 I saw for the first time about a year ago and it's ...amazing. The hard-cores didn't like it as much as 1 & 2, but the reasons they disliked it are *exactly* why I liked it so much. The Thor and Dr Strange ones are fun
Yesterday we visited Green Mountain Falls, CO to visit the kinetic sculpture Off the Beaten Path by Patrick Shearn. I wasn’t ready for just how dynamic it was even in the slightest breeze. Reminds me of a murmuration of starlings. Incredible artwork. It’ll only be up through October 19th.

I think that's probably true. I find that some of my greatest flashes of insight come when I'm out walking or in the middle of the night. I carry a little notepad and pen and have a notepad on my nightstand for this reason.

I find that walking away from any kind of puzzle helps. I do it when something is stumping me for work stuff. I dont know why that instinct doesn't kick in on these puzzles.
