Yesterday, I returned to the Everglades Detention Facility to check on constituents and Floridians being held in this internment camp. I was unable to meet any of the people that I was set to meet with. It's shameful โ and Iโll keep working to get answers for Central FL families.

I've worked in libraries, public and university, besides having a library card anywhere I was. One I was shelving books in, made amazing discoveries that I checked out and then bought. Having a free public library is such a wonderful thing. Wasn't always the case. So important.

To add to that, a majority of the people grabbed by ICE have no criminal record, and many have green cards or are in the legal process, or even are U.S. citizens. Children, too.
From interviews I've seen on social media, it looks like most MAGA would. And it should say "if he is a sex offender", meaning it's a possibility. "If he were a sex offender" means he isn't, but what if hypothetically he were.

Exactly. He feels so entitled to anything he wants, that even mild criticism is SO unfair. Even insufficient (in his view) applause is, like when in his first term, he mused that Democrats not standing and applauding when he spoke could be considered treason.

As a kid, I read about having "one world", no countries in conflict, everyone learning Esperanto to fix communication problems. ๐ I never learned that much Esperanto, tho I still have my books. ๐ It IS easier to learn than a natural language: phonetic, no irregularities, + a mix of many languages.

It's still a risk, based on protests in the past, though her odds are much better. An audience and esp. that someone was filming helped. That's something we all could do if in a situation like that, to document what ICE or fake ICE are doing. The migra was horrid, but the new ICE is worse.
It is frightening that fake videos have gone from being fairly obvious to almost impossible to distinguish from real ones. Seems sort of like the internet scams going from laughable (esp. some of the Nigerian ones) to convincing unless you know your bank wouldn't send an email like that.
