The only British person I know of taking US SAT exams was applying for PhD courses in the US, and they were required to make overseas applicants commensurable with US ones - but that was back in the mid 90s. I think he had to go to a special test centre in London during the summer.

The James Bond franchise has the same relationship to "espionage thriller" as Doctor Who has to "science fiction". It uses elements of it, but it's its own unique kind of fantasy genre. Neither of them should ever lean too far in to one of the barrels of inspiration they are dipping in to.
