So infuriating. Regarding the mRNA vaccines and myocarditis, *the second line of that study's abstract* makes it clear that COVID inflection and not the vaccines was a much greater danger: "Importantly, post-vaccination myocarditis was less common than myocarditis after SARS-CoV-2 infection."

My own reading of the book showed me Tom offers example after example of how skepticism about expertise transcends political affiliation. Many factors involved, one of them being narcissism. As an educator, I am heartened that our efforts make a difference. But Trump et al. really worry me.

My sense, perhaps wrong, is that Bernie thinks this is a move toward capitalist social democracy (e.g., Canada, Netherlands, Scandinavian countries). But, given the context, that would be an extremely naive assumption.
But will it be enough? For example, will it be enough to turn the tide at the mid-terms? Will the Dems get their acts together to mount an effective and credible opposition, leaning how to better use social media, for example (see Meidas Touch)? I worry we're far from being able to make a shift.
