I would literally call them "gray companies" and then explain why. Ppl can then decide for themselves. You can't walk planet Earth & avoid EVERY company that does bad stuff. But we can be more informed & make better choices. This helps us be better informed.
Here's an idea: Is there a company here that you use & you just can't avoid? Are you of a certain age? Do they offer senior citizen discounts? If you just answered yes to all those questions then put your gray hair to work! Senior citizen discount means you're giving them LESS $$.
