There’s no “reversion.” The War Department was abolished, its functions reorganized, and new institutions like the JCS and the NSC created under a new entity called the National Military Establishment (NME) before *that* was renamed the Defense Department… by law.

It's not intellectually dishonest. If a National Guardsman is violent to a person during an arrest they should be detained then, by their servicemembers. That's not happening. No charges are being filed. You're blinded by your desire to defend your service.
It's incumbent on anyone in the National Guard NOT to follow unlawful orders, and to ensure their fellow servicemembers aren't breaking laws, regulations, and lawful orders. We're seeing a very visible, if not large number, of National Guard troops *happily* arresting and curb stomping people.
If you're able to talk to Mr. Bolton, please let him know that he's never backed down before and he can't do so now. I hope he's more em-Bolton'd by this farcical action.

That's awesome, and very useful. What I'd like to be able to see is if any specific penalty was especially brutal in the impact. I'm a MD fan, we ebb and flow on # penalties/game, but a theory I have is we're really bad a critical timing penalties. I do see you have that in your All Plays section.

Maybe calling for resignations is part of the process, but none will happen. Hearings seem critical, investigations are good. But what concrete, specific and actionable outcomes of consequence will happen? No one will resign. Can anyone be arrested? Charged? Something *real*.
