The fact that CNN tried to push this transparent bulllshit a few days ago is embarrassing. It’s beyond obvious that Putin has played Trump again and again over the last few months and Trump is afraid to respond in any way.
Oh, and Hawaii, obviously (as Bourdain’s Hawaii episode of Parts Unknown comes on my streaming and I realize I egregiously forgot about it).
In a lot of ways, European countries also even more provincial than the US. I’m thinking about it, and Texas may be the only US state that comes close in terms of approximating it since it has its own revolutionary war story (and how that’s taught, or was).

Everyone is making the obvious point here about who this would exclude. I want to make a different point. I’ve said before we don’t share values with these people. Schmitt could not make that more clear: He wants you to trade *everything* for a nation of white people.
This is Radley’s piece from May of last year. He was one of the only journalists that really gave mass deportation the focus it deserved, and corporate media did a huge disservice to the public by not making it clear that it was going to look like it does now.

If people are not within arm’s length of each other, then it does not qualify as a mass gathering under the restrictions and the cap of 50 wouldn’t apply. That’s the plain language of the order.
Did you read the actual language of the restrictions? It doesn’t forbid outdoor gathering for churches; it only requires that people be at least arm’s length away from one another.

There’s also no reason to detain someone like her except to force her to give up her rights and agree to leave the country. We are systemically subjecting people to inhumane conditions so we can force them to bend to the will of the government. And we’re less than a year into all of this.
None of this is making us safer as a country. We’re deporting people like this young woman for no reason whatsoever.
