Go electric and never have your neighbors complain again. We went electric very early on (love the push start, will never pull a cord again) and our neighbors were FASCINATED by how quiet it was.
The eastern US network used to end in Iowa. The whole Pacific expansion took it from Iowa to San Francisco. We weren't terribly populated then. We just fell in love with the car.

I can easily take Amtrak to Atlanta, DC, and Raleigh. Everyone should have that ability. I love public transit - local, domestic, international. We are so far behind and have essentially abandoned one of the technologies that made us "great". Give me a transit pass and I'll see the world!

I should drive down there sometime and see if the old beach house is still there. My dad sold it when the beach at the Point started eroding. Many good memories of Emerald Isle when it was a convenience store, the Coast Guard station, some beach houses and a bunch of trailers. 🏖️

Working with some wide tip acrylic paint pens and OMG, these things are awesome! Need to spend a bit of time practicing my lettering strokes, but these are seriously so much better for posters if you are a protest "artist". Got some minor smears, but they actually look intentional, LOL!
