I have the headcanon that they're related. She's related to Hassel on one side of the family, and related to Lance on the other side, hence the flippy-hair similarities. She'd be quite a bit younger, though, right? Argh, the Pokemon timeline is so weird.

Right? You can go through the whole place and it looks like the dorms are all in the yellow wing, while the rest of them are themed based on essentially a student's chosen "major" - like STEM (Penny) and Humanities (Arven). Now we need to know the Naranja / Uva curriculum!!

It was a hard decision, but Sunflora is not easy to play with cuz its stats aren't great (it's a lover not a fighter) but Wo-Chien is an exellent type match swapout.
Plus side: I got shiny Wo-Chien!!! ๐ฅฐ Down side: I had to swap someone outta my party, and I swapped out Brassius's Sunflora ๐ฅฒ
That's such a great point. And kinda why I'm mulling it over. I could easily turn the situation they're in into something very adult, but the rest of the story - and my style in general - is more subdued. But it's been going on so long, I feel like they deserve to have a little fun ๐คญ

8/2/25 National Sunflower Day! And... Why, yes! The story I'm writing is at 20k+ words. Won't be posting it today but I might have to take a breather and DRAW something instead.
Sorry I've been so quiet lately. Between job hunting and obsessively writing this fic, these things have consumed my life. On the bright side, the story really is nearly at 20k words now, and still going. If I can swing it, they can get a proper ending at 25k.
