Whole series is absolutely fantastic.
Was debating grabbing an ego chainsaw for some work I’ve got to do and will keep this in mind.
Sometimes a Hail Mary works. This sucks.
Some shows are better with reruns. This one is not.
I am NOT excited for tomorrow.
People won’t genuinely believe this until their pocketbooks and purchasing power are truly impacted. And at that point there will be some other boogeyman to blame somehow. 2026 will not be impacted, and makes me fearful for changes to processes for 2028 Might be dooming here, but I’m not hopeful

@petersagal.bsky.social It’s not about “political fortunes” it’s about the future of America. During a shutdown DOGE may fire more people, but a clean CR would allow that funding level to come back, and courts can get those people back into their roles similar probationary employee rulings.
Ceding the power of the purse from Congress to the Executive will result in NPR losing its federal funding. Shutting down the government and getting a clean CR may be a short term political challenge, but will result in an America where the separation of powers still exists instead of a unitary exec
This is spineless. Critical workers will still come into the office, unpaid, and keep this country running during a brief shutdown. You have power. You can get concessions that keep the power of the purse with Congress. This bill will lead to the ruination of our country and you’re complicit.

I’d counter Texas getting bluer with Harris losing by a significantly larger margin than Biden did in 2020. Texas moved farther right in the last election than the rest of the country on average.
