I won’t be surprised if this skipped multiple proper procedures and involved Stephen Miller calling the ship directly and pretending the President ordered the hit. No questions allowed.

I would also like to remind reporters that you don’t need to rush to be first to publish. Doing that leaves readers uninformed. Do research, look up relevant laws, talk to an expert. Then publish. That small delay makes the article a complete piece of journalism and not a repost of a press release.
