Sending our Navy to Venezuela might have pushed Putin over the edge. Interfering in the Russia-Venezuela love affair can't be a good idea. Maduro called Putin to say that he supports the invasion of Ukraine.
We are still supplying Ukraine with military stuff and have not convinced Ukraine to surrender. Is the USA still imposing huge tariffs on India, Russia's biggest customer? What did Putin get from his visit to Alaska? Nothing that he couldn't get on his own.
