Talent spotting in MotoGP is an art. It's easy to pick people like Max Quiles for future stardom (a) because they're backed by #MM93 and (b) they're in a top level team. Spotting a huge talent being held back by shitty equipment/badly run teams/lack of finance is much more difficult.
