I was just reading the Wiki page for Gumi SV 2. Gumi SV 1’s original default singing mode was based on only six songs worth of data??? No wonder it sounded undertrained. That’s horrifically low, it’s a bit of a miracle that Gumi SV1 sounded as good and stable as she did.

I don’t usually bother with those tags. Most of the time I find that when looking up specific voice types, more times than not, they get their vocal types mislabeled ( e.g. Dong Fang Zhi Zi is a “contralto” apparently ), or that voices that do fit those archetypes don’t get labelled at all

I don’t think I’ve ever been this pissed about a VSynth, even back when VOCALOID5 released. This is just maybe the stupidest choice ever made for a VSynth - all the way up there with Emvoice not having vibrato controls - except WORSE, bc SV2 had BOTH no vibrato controls AND no Manual Mode.
it doesn't actually emulate Manual Mode, it just reduces the amplitude of pitchbends, similar to the "Rigid" expression And with SV1 voices, it almost doesn't work at all.

I’ve been kinda low-key wanting Chis-A Chinese too, since I think it makes a lot of sense for their multilingual flagship vocal to be capable of singing all of VoiSona’s available languages.
