instead of thinking about eating less overall, focused on getting in MORE servings of veg/fiber-- good for satiety and not feeling deprived--but it has to be veg that you love/like, and prepared so eating feels like self-care, not punishment
I had to *cook* and use whole ingredients. tips: batch roasting veg, making 6 'jammy' eggs at a go (lasts a week), learning new recipes. results: a smaller grocery bill, weight stabilized w/o thinking about it, delicious food (much less salt, no sugar, but plenty of evoo, fave veg) (ymmv)
this may not count as small, but I moved to a place with no microwave--hadn't realized how many frozen processed meals I'd been eating (trader joe's, convenient and not unhealthy per se, and the calories in the ones I'd had been eating were reasonable) (1/2)--but suddenly having no microwave:
