Of no insurance? There isn't one. But, prosecution still needs to be in the public interest & I would have hoped that preventing people being defrauded was a higher priority than prosecuting victims of that fraud.

I'm genuinely surprised to hear that this could be prosecuted in the USA. I'm far from convinced it's a criminal post here in E&W.

The UK’s approach to prosecutions for social media content is quite different than ours in ways I have criticized. This one is within shouting distance of prosecutable in the U.S. The relevant question is whether it’s sufficiently imminent to meet our incitement standard./1

I have a client accused of no insurance. He's quite obviously been the victim of a fraudulent website. Frustratingly, police are prosecuting him for no insurance & ignoring the website, which is still up and selling fake insurance to people a year later!!

Not certain which article Tice links to, but this one doesn't say removal after 1 day - it says "within weeks", based on them not applying for asylum and the state of origin taking them back - so obviously irrelevant to small boat asylum seekers coming from France www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

Oh yeah for sure you still need to investigate the crime itself to know who you're looking for when you pull people over.

You see solicitors who do something relatively minor getting £10k+ costs orders from the SRA while this guy bankrupted a firm through fraud and they only want £600! www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/practic...

I love Kirsty Wark's suggestion that they just re-film the whole show. I bet the winner and runners up would love to have to take time off work to do the whole thing again with the chance they don't get all the way to the final this time or are we going to rig the re-make & hope everyone comes back.

Good opportunity for experimental television here in which we only see shots of food mysteriously cooking itself as all the people are edited out.

Yeah JD, we remember. We will never forget your boss was best friends with the guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring. And then that guy was "silenced" forever. And now we will just not talk about anything else until they... #ReleaseThe_EPSTEIN_Files

I reckon if you pulled over everyone not wearing a seatbelt or driving defective cars, you'd end up finding most of the violent criminals you were looking for anyway.

This is the most frustrating screen I see in Windows. Literally every program is closed. There are no files open at all.

Windows pop up telling me I cannot delete a file because the file is open in another program.

I've never even seen a Walmart let alone been in one and yet I constantly get spam emails and see online adverts for them - or someone claiming to be them at any rate.

Since when have we thought Carharrt was luxurious? I had to google them but recognised the logo as something I've seen on very generic tshirts.

So he didn't have a knife pulled on him. He didn't see the knife. Somebody told him there was a guy with a machete behind him who was threatening the people speaking to him, which kinda proves the point about the need for safe routes to the UK that will kill the smugglers business.

It's not the airports fault, but I'm just saying the miserable journey in and the rip off parking charges (or train fare) really don't get people off to a good start.

I was just thinking about bitlocker - I think that requires a password before windows starts? Not sure I can use that as my keyboard doesn't connect until windows is running!

I don't think so. Most of the hardship I saw was the entirely foreseeable and natural consequence of repeatedly ignoring the rules of the road. There are other things, eg I have a client whose hardship isn't about him - it's about his employer & is being entirely pushed & funded by the employer.
