I don't know who to believe from reading the article. My guess is the GQP is generally not trustworthy. If taxes go up to support public transit, so be it. Austerity measures rarely work. The city and satellite counties are the economic backbone of the Commonwealth. Hurting that is plain foolish.

For public transit to be successful it must be safe, reliable, clean, frequent and affordable. SEPTA needs to improve on clean and frequent, but needs funding to do so.

Don't buy products in plastic. Buy things in glass, cardboard or aluminum. I used to buy ice tea and drinks in plastic. Now I buy concentrate in cardboard/metal containers and mix it up at home. I also make ice tea the old fashioned way. Milk comes in cardboard too.
