Jefferson foresaw exactly this when he recommended to Madison the Constitution be rewritten every 19 years (it would be a little longer using today's average lifespan). He reasoned amendments ultimately would not be sufficient. One can love the Constitution but still see the need for it to change.
The Constitution is like the Ford Model T. A groundbreaking invention in its time, it served its purpose for many years and can still be driven today. But it's not designed for today's needs, which its inventors did not anticipate. Tweaks (amendments) to the base design can only help so much.
We can't let them remove the orange stain from their noses that easily.

If teachers use Trump as an example of what the Constitution was designed to protect us against, they will also have to teach how and why it failed to do that. I think that latter bit is the more important lesson.

I interpreted the previous post to mean that they should stay in their positions and simply refuse to follow unethical orders until they are fired. Quitting, however, would seem to demonstrate an even greater (financial) sacrifice in support of their colleague.
I mean use the threat to shut down the economy to make it prohibitively expensive for a wide variety of stakeholders to either assist or allow a fascist takeover of our country. Call it a civic "poison pill" if you like. I'm open-minded. If you don't like the idea, let's hear your alternative.

Politicization of our system of justice can go both ways. Prospective jurors may lie when asked if they can be impartial. (after all, SCOTUS does this all the time). Then those juries may start acquitting ANYBODY charged by the DOJ, just because they can (like Trump pardoning all the J6 rioters).

I did not say that the 'majority' of child grooming happened in churches or religious groups. My apologies if I gave that impression. It does happen there, though (I can cite a couple of recent academic studies if you are interested).
Trump's lieutenants behave the way they do because they see no negative consequences to themselves, even if they fall out of power. There's no deterrent. No. They should wake up a cold sweat every night from nightmares of being shot, hung, or imprisoned for life for their crimes against humanity.
